Anytime Smoothie Bowl

Here's a quick & easy recipe for a fabulous smoothie bowl. Enjoy it for breakfast with crepes, oatmeal or on its own, and have it anytime for a healthy snack or dessert.

SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Frozen banana cut in chunks. Fresh banana works fine too, but frozen makes the smoothie a little more ice-cream like.
  • 2 cups frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries, cherries, etc)
  • 3 Tbsp nut butter
  • 1 to 2 cups milk (soy milk, nut milk or yogurt all work well)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup strong coffee
  • Optional: 1/4 cup protein powder

TOPPINGS:

  • Coconut flakes
  • Pomegranate
  • More whole fruit
  • Granola

DIRECTIONS:

  • Put all smoothie ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Start with 1 cup milk and add more if needed.
  • Scoop / pour into a bowl and top with toppings. Store the extra in the fridge.
