Our Bite Me Not is made with “oil of lemon eucalyptus,” a powerful insect deterrent derived from Eucalyptus citriodora oil. The chemical name for oil of lemon eucalyptus is p-Menthane-3,8-diol (PMD for short). PMD is derived by refining the essential oil so that it stays on the skin longer. We add plant-based Biovanillin for aroma and to slow the evaporation rate. Isopropyl alcohol adds a light feel and spreadability; organic castor oil provides conditioning and glide; and essential oils add extra aroma and power. The scent of Bite Me Not is a warm & fruity mix of lemon-eucalyptus and vanilla. Smell great and keep the bugs away!
Unlike DEET, Bite Me Not doesn’t absorb into the bloodstream. It stays on the skin and slowly evaporates. The Biovanillin in Bite Me Not is derived from wood, not from petroleum. It’s more costly to produce, but we believe Biovanillin is more sustainable than vanillin derived from fossil fuels.
Net wt. 4.0 oz (110 ml). Bite Me Not is packaged in a durable glass bottle with fine mist sprayer.
How to Use
Shake bottle and spray on exposed skin, and on clothing if desired. Spread across skin surfaces with hands. Apply to the face with hands, and avoid eyes and mouth. Safe for humans aged 6 months and up.
